Berryman

Stuck is not a place you ever want to be in genealogy. Stuck is where I am. My fathers family are scattered and not friendly with me so I am having the hardest time getting some info. My fathers name David Richard Morris Sr. his father Robert Zory Morris Sr.. His father Zory Robert Morris............that is where it gets confusing. Zory's mother Sarah Morris. It isnt clear but I am being led by info that she had a child out of wedlock or a first marriage. I have even found information that his race may not be white. Sarah's father was Moses Morris who with wife Caroline had possibly 6 children. Names Mary E,Margaret, Sarah, William, Catherine, and Philip. May have been another daughter named Emma. All of this family living in Pennsylvania more than likely Luzerne county. Later moving towards NY and NJ. Reading back over this entry and I see alot of what if,s possibles, and maybe's. Trying like heck to get more. Hope you all like the pics my cousin Maria posted of her reunion. Check em out on http://www.aworldofcousins.blogspot.com

New House

The above pictures are of the fourth floor apt. in our new house. It has an amazing view of the village we live in, and you can see all the way to Ramstein Air Base. We have already had our first guests, wonderful friends we made in Bamberg, were able to make use of it while my friend's hubby recovered from surgery he had down range in Iraq. Taking Reservations immediatly. LOL

The stairwell is all glass from top to bottom very 70's. The next pic is going to be the bar/pool table room. Then following is the dining room off one of the three kitchens.

The living room is next and then my bedroom. It is on the third floor and has a balcony matching the one on the floor below that runs the lenth of the side of the house. This is my favorite spot to be in the evening having a glass of wine with Greg and reading.

Brot und Spiel Trier

For our first outing here in our new home we went to the Brot und Spiel. It was a Roman Fest in Trier. A stones throw from the Luxemborg border. The whole city was one of the biggest Roman settlements and the fest was held at the ruins of a Roman Bath house and Colleseum. It was amazing to see and stand amoungst the ruins where the romans lived and died. We wandered among the fest grounds hitting the practice field and the market. Right at the base of the ruins was a bier garten set up and we had lunch and some wine and beer for Greg and I and drinks for the kids. Later in the evening we went to a fire show about the ancients and though it was all in German we got the general story line from the play. We learned the thumbs up thumbs down saying and how to greet the emperor and got to participate in that after each fighting match. It was alot of fun and deffinately a city we want to go back to when the fest isnt going on to see more sights. Trier is in the heart of the Mosel valley and I want to hit the wine region and vineyards that we could see from the fest grounds.
Hope you all enjoy the pics

Nurmberg Germany

Today we went on a quick train ride down to Nurmberg. It is about an hour from our house and we havent explored the old (alt)city yet. It was chilly so we didnt stay a real long time but it was good to get out of the house. We ate at a great little irish pub that was carved out of stone and looked like a cavern. Here are a few pics of our day and we are definetly going to go back when it gets warmer and everything is open.
